Call for Papers
The Law Students’ Association of the Royal Institute of Colombo (LSARIC) is delighted to announce that the Royal Institute of Colombo (RIC) Law Journal 2021 is in progress and submissions are now open. It will encompass a plethora of areas of law, and it will give you an opportunity to be featured in the RIC Law Journal this year.
We encourage all law students and lawyers across the country to submit articles on international and local legal subject matters.
If you wish to submit an article the topics are as follows:
- Commercial law
- Constitutional law
- International Humanitarian Law
- Labour Law
- Intellectual Property Law
- Alternative Dispute Resolutions
- Criminal Justice Reforms
Please note that you are not limited to the above topics although it is preferred that you write articles on the above.
All papers should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by the 14th August 2021.
To be eligible to submit articles, you must be a second-year law student or upwards. Articles can also be co-written. However, all articles submitted must be of your own work.
The word limit for an article is 4000-6000 words.
The article submitted must include a short abstract (250-300 words). The abstract will be included in the word count. However, the word count is not inclusive of the footnotes and bibliography.
All submitted papers must comply with the Oxford University Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).
Submissions should be sent as an MS Word document. The font should be size 12 in Times New Roman and the line spacing should be 1.5.
