The Buddhist Society is an inclusive student community dedicated to promoting Buddhist values, cultural traditions, personal wellbeing and community engagement within university life. The Society provides a welcoming space where students can connect, build friendships, and develop a strong sense of belonging.
Our activities include meditation programmes, Dhamma discussions, sermons, alms-givings and other spiritual initiatives that encourage mindfulness, reflection and personal growth. We also celebrate Buddhist culture and traditions through various activities such as Vesak lantern displays, Poson dansal and other special events.
Community service is an important part of the Society’s purpose. Through blood donation drives, charitable donations and outreach initiatives, students are given opportunities to support meaningful causes and make a positive contribution to the wider community.
Through spiritual, cultural and service-oriented activities, the Buddhist Society aims to create a positive, supportive and memorable university experience while encouraging the values of compassion, unity and responsibility.
