The Gavel Club of RIC is the public speaking and leadership club of the Royal Institute Campus. It offers students a structured, supportive space to build confidence in communication, following the Competent Communication curriculum and drawing on defined meeting roles to give every member hands-on speaking practice. Beyond formal speeches, the club places strong emphasis on impromptu and persuasive speaking, hosting workshops with guest speakers to sharpen these skills. With an active executive committee, a yearly calendar of events, and regular communications to keep members engaged, the Gavel Club of RIC fosters both personal growth and a strong sense of community among its members.
