Spring of Wisdom (SoW) Kicks Off with Successful First Phase
Colombo, Sri Lanka – The highly anticipated Spring of Wisdom (SoW) – Business/Psychology Edition has successfully concluded its first phase, laying a strong foundation for future rounds. The initial knowledge-sharing sessions, designed to ignite young minds, saw enthusiastic participation from schools across the region.
The Business Edition of SoW attracted an impressive 28 schools and 111 students. Participants delved into the crucial topic of “Business Proposal Development: Turning Ideas into Actions,” gaining valuable insights into transforming innovative concepts into actionable plans.
Meanwhile, the Psychology Edition engaged 17 schools and 67 students, with sessions exploring “Psychology: Past, Present, and Future.” This insightful journey through the evolution and future trajectory of psychology captivated students interested in the human mind.
Both editions benefited immensely from the expertise of their respective facilitators. The Business Edition was led by Mr. Kushan De Silva, a renowned entrepreneur, consultant, and lecturer, who shared his extensive real-world experience. The Psychology Edition was guided by Mr. Janindu Janmika Maddumakulage, a respected lecturer and Academic Coordinator for the BSc Psychology Programme at RIC, who provided a comprehensive overview of the field.
The success of the first phase has set a vibrant tone for the upcoming stages of the competition. Participants are now preparing for the second phase, with the Business Edition scheduled for July 22nd and the Psychology Edition on July 15th. The competition will culminate in the highly anticipated final rounds, with the Business Edition finals on August 7th and the Psychology Edition finals on August 5th.
The Spring of Wisdom initiative aims to foster critical thinking, encourage innovation, and provide a platform for students to explore their interests in business and psychology. The overwhelming response to the first phase indicates a bright future for these budding professionals.
