He was recognized for his outstanding A/L results, ranking 80th in the island in the Arts stream, along with his remarkable extracurricular achievements. His leadership roles as a District Council Officer and Rugby Instructor further highlight his dedication to academics, governance, and sports.

As the captain of both the squash and badminton teams, she has excelled in sports at the national level, representing Sri Lanka at the Asian Junior Squash Championships and earning Western Province colours for badminton. Her dedication and achievements earned her the Most Outstanding Sports Personality Award. Academically, she secured A, A, and B* in her A-Levels and is currently pursuing a BSc in Economics & Finance from the University of London at RIC.
All three recipients were selected through a rigorous evaluation process, highlighting their dedication and all-around excellence. RIC believes these students will take this recognition as motivation to achieve even more, perform better, and make both RIC and Sri Lanka proud in the future.
This incredible opportunity is also extended at the school level, where outstanding students from recognized host schools are identified and awarded based on their academic achievements and extracurricular excellence. This initiative celebrates the contributions of schools in improving RIC students’ academic performances. The academic and extracurricular background that students bring from their schools plays a vital role in shaping their success at RIC. The recognition acknowledges the growing number of students studying at RIC and their remarkable academic progress, while inspiring and motivating younger students to pursue excellence in both academic and extracurricular activities. By recognizing the hard work of top-performing students, RIC aims to foster a culture of excellence and encourage the next generation to strive for success.
RIC invites students with outstanding A/L results and recognized extracurricular achievements to apply for the University of London March 2025 intake in Laws, Psychology, Economics, Social Sciences, and Business Management degrees.
