The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) – Mechatronics Engineering Major provides an in-depth understanding of integrated mechanical, electronic, and computer systems. Students study units like Sustainable Design, Analogue and Digital Electronics, and Embedded System Design, developing skills to design and maintain automated systems. Career prospects include roles as mechatronics engineers, robotics specialists, and automation engineers, preparing graduates for impactful careers in robotics, manufacturing, and advanced technology sectors.

At Royal Institute of Colombo, students are given the opportunity to pursue the first two years of their degree in Sri Lanka, all from the comfort of their home, saving substantial costs. RIC ensures a smooth transition to Deakin Australia to complete the final two years.

  • Applicant must hold at least 7 points* (from a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 A/L subjects with at least S grade in Combined Mathematics) at Advanced Level (National) or 6 points* (from a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 A/L subjects with at least E grade in Mathematics) at Advanced Level
    (London).
  • Students who do not meet this requirement, refer RIC – Deakin Foundation Programme
