Degree Programmes of the University of London affirmed yet again the dedication of RIC in crafting well-rounded professionals with knowledge and skills suited to the current and future world of employment. 74 students of RIC that followed LLB degree programmes, graduating in 2021, have secured Second Class Honours. Furthermore, 23% (20) of the students that followed BSc. degree programmes obtained First Class Honours, while 74% (64) obtained Second Class Honours. The BSc. students who obtained First Class Honours are past students of Ananda College, Colombo South International College, Gateway College Colombo, Ladies’ College, Lyceum International School, Royal College, S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, St Benedict’s College, St Bridget’s Convent, St Nicholas’ International College and Visakha Vidyalaya.
At a recently conducted survey, it was revealed that 89% of RIC graduates find employment in line with their degree programmes. Furthermore, within just 2-4 months of seeking for employment, 89% become well employed. Academic enrichment programmes conducted regularly apart from structured lectures and tutorials are indeed the baseline of RIC graduates’ employability rate being high. The survey also highlighted that 87% of graduates were either employed or planning to pursue higher studies even before the graduation ceremony. The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) plays a prominent role in the above regard, connecting students with top notch organizations. The CGU not only provides assistance to graduates in finding fulltime employment but also to undergraduates in finding suitable internship programmes during their period of study at RIC.
