On April 9th, students from RIC Deakin’s Electrical & Renewable Energy and Mechatronics Engineering programs embarked on an insightful field visit to the Lakvijaya Power Station in Norochcholai.
This hands-on experience allowed undergraduates to deepen their understanding of large-scale power generation, exploring the operational mechanisms of Sri Lanka’s largest thermal power plant. The visit provided valuable exposure to real-world applications of their academic learning, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
